Lazy Meditation.

One of the main secrets to having a better life is the ability to switch off, empty your mind, and control your thoughts and feelings, on a regular basis, yes, on a regular basis.  A little bit every day. And it’s something that you learn to do. Investing just 30 minutes of your day, everyday for 2 weeks if you can,and then 3-4 times per week after that, will benefit your life in so many ways,and in any area of your life that you choose: 

  • Weight Loss
  • Smoking
  • Stress / Anxiety / Fear / Pain
  • Exercise
  • Confidence
  • Motivation

There is no getting around the fact that to have a meaningful, successful, happy and contented life, learning to let go and resting your mind on a regular basis is one of the most beneficial, profitable and wonderful things that you could ever learn to do.

One of the most difficult things about this process is getting your head around how simple it is. The benefits are huge and there are so many ways to do it. 

Switching off your mind and learning to focus on your goal is just one way of doing it. It’s well known that the average human being, on average has about 60,000 thoughts every single day, and most of them are negative, which lead to negative feelings. Do you feel positive or negative?” Up or down? Good or bad? You decide which words to use!  

The point is, shutting out the thoughts, all the mind talk, and images, stopping to think, and doing this consciously, on purpose, enables you to rest at such a deep level. This in itself is a wonderful and at first, strange feeling, but this feeling of calmness and relaxation is not the ultimate pay-off, although very refreshing and peaceful.  Feeling calm and relaxed allows any positive suggestions to sink deep into your unconscious mind.

After a relatively short space of time, (2-3 days to a week) if you practice 20-30 mins per day you will start to feel some of the benefits, very lightly at first. Stress levels a little lower, a bit more energy, that kind of thing.

If you want to become fit and healthy, it's so important to keep going when you do become fitter and healthier, otherwise you will go back to your old levels. Similar to dieting, many people lose weight through dieting, but the majority put the weight back on again.

So many people are looking for a ‘quick fix’. Let me tell you, no matter what anyone claims, there is no quick fix to feeling good on a regular basis. Now, don’t get me wrong, change can happen fairly quickly, but you will have to work towards that change, and keep working.
